Music sensation and the Queen of pop, Madonna will perform live at the Eurovision Song Contest! She will take part at the Grand  Final on May 18th, most likely, during the interval act. Host broadcaster, KAN, confirmed this news earlier today.

The cost of bringing Madonna to Tel Aviv, this year’s host city, is covered by Israeli-Canadian billionaire Mr. Sylvan Adams. Madonna is expected to perform two songs, and for this short gig, she’s expected to receive close to $1.4M. According to the management team around her, one of the songs she will be performing is a brand new one from her upcoming album.

Adams, Canadian born, who made aliyah and immigrated to Israel 14 years ago, has become one of Israel's top honorary Ambassadors and philanthropists. Just last year,  adams brought the annual bicycle race Giro d'Italia to Israel, a race that traditionally takes place in italy.

"Mr. Adams believes that the participation of an artist like Madonna in this year's show will significantly increase the exposure and media coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest itself and the corresponding events … as well as of the wonderful people and beauty of the State of Israel," Ben Naim added.

This is not the first time the Eurovision stage sees an  international Megastar performing during the show. In 2016, when the competition took place in Stockholm,  Justin Timberlake performed live during the Final, and used the opportunity to debut the live rendition of his summer hit,  Cant Stop That Feeling. That was also the first year  a USA broadcaster aired live the v show, but due to  legal and copyrights retrictions, Timberlake's performance was not aired  on the American TV.
